Don't let Wind Energy companies
fool you. They are not "green" companies. They are for-profit and are backed by investors (in this case, Pennsylvania
and Chicago power corporations and Japanese investors) who are poised to take advantage of residents' naiveté and exploit our resources
for their own ends. Read more about the hoodwinking of communities. See photos of what our area will look like if project is approved.
Can you trust your community's future to a non-established company that exists only on paper? Illinois
Wind Energy is run from an unmanned office in downtown Chicago and is operating illegally without a requisite business license.

How are Indiantown residents being duped by the Wind Energy companies?
Indiantown farmers are being offered ONLY $5,000 per turbine compared to $11,000 offered
elsewhere. Land for development is more valuable than the companies are letting on. This is especially true in towns that have allowed turbine
construction in the past but have denied further development because of unending problems. Read more about communities pulling support from further development.
The 381-foot towers and blades are not benign. Livestock and humans can be affected by stray voltage and electrical pollution. Shadow
strobe effect can cause disorientation and seizures in humans. Residents within a mile of turbines can suffer sleep loss and stress from
turbine noise. The quality of well water can diminish, making it unfit to drink. Turbines can crumple in high winds and are not immune to
lightning strikes. Read more about turbines endangering
lives.
Indiantown is a guinea pig for the first wind farm test case. The Wind Energy companies count on residents not understanding the
ramifications of placing massive, industrial turbines in a rural setting. Read more
about the companies' modus operandi
As long as residents continue to take Wind Energy companies at
their "word," rural areas will suffer from exploitation. Read
